Pen / Rectangle / Ellipse
Pen
Create polygon patterns and internal shapes.
Show the 2D Toolbar:
Click on the 2D editor window.
The toolbar switches to the 2D Toolbar.
Select the Pen Tool:
Click the Pen Tool in the toolbar.
Create a Polygon:
Pattern
Click in the 2D editor window to place the first point.
Continue clicking to create the desired polygon shape.
Click the first point again to close and complete the shape.
Internal Shape:
When created inside a pattern, the polygon becomes an internal shape.
A segment or an open shape can be created with the pen tool.
Double-click the last point to complete the shape. 📦Added in 2025 v 2.1
Curve:
Click and drag to display curve handles and create curved segments.
Click a segment point to delete the forward half-handle. 📦Added in 2025 v 2.1
Cancel:
Press the Esc key during creation to cancel the operation.📦Added in 2025 v 2.1
Rectangle
Create rectangular patterns or internal shapes.
Show the 2D Toolbar:
Click on the 2D editor window.
The toolbar switches to the 2D Toolbar.
Select the Rectangle Tool:
Click the Rectangle Tool in the toolbar.
Create a Rectangle:
Pattern:
Click in the 2D editor window to create a rectangle with a predefined size.
Click and drag in the 2D editor window to create a rectangle of your desired size.
Internal Shape:
When created inside a pattern, the rectangle becomes an internal shape.
Square:
While clicking and dragging, hold down the Shift key to constrain proportions and create a perfect square.
Cancel:
Press the Esc key during creation to cancel the operation.📦Added in 2025 v 2.1
Ellipse
Create elliptical patterns or internal shapes.
Show the 2D Toolbar:
Click on the 2D editor window.
The toolbar switches to the 2D Toolbar.
Select the Ellipse Tool:
Click the Ellipse Tool in the toolbar.
Create a Circle:
Pattern:
Click in the 2D editor window to create a circle with a predefined size.
Click and drag in the 2D editor window to create a circle of your desired size.
Internal Shape:
When created inside a pattern, the circle becomes an internal shape.
True Circle:
While clicking and dragging, hold down the Shift key to constrain proportions and create a perfect circle.
Cancel:
